Are these for digital sound recordings? I wonder what the rate is for songwriters and music publishers? Thanks.
OK, what? Most of these numbers, Spot, Rhapsody, those all look consistent with what I’ve seen in the past elsewhere. But I’m dumbfounded to imagine that Google is paying over 4-1/2 cents a track. And Nokia? Holy mackerel. I’m also really curious about that second ‘per song download’ column. Just what are those numbers?
The “per song download” column is that number of streams required to equal one transactional song download at iTunes, 70 cents net per song.
Why is Last.fm omitted? Don’t they have over 45 million users?
